OverviewQixol Promo provides the ability to send notification emails to users where promotions are changed, where the discount applied to a basket exceeds a given percentage or value and where the total discount applied by a basket exceeds a given maximum value.
Qixol Promo also provides the ability to receive weekly summary reports to help you track how promotions are performing, and to see which promotions have been applied the most in the previous week.
Promotion WatchersPromotion Watchers are users who have been assigned to receive notifications and/or weekly reports for a specific promotion. To assign a user as a Promotion Watcher, open the required promotion and on the Notifications tab add the required user(s).
Promotion NotificationsQixol Promo allows you to configure notifications against promotions which will trigger a notification email to be sent to Promotion Watchers (and optionally Company Watchers) when a configured situation is encountered.
The following notifications and reports configuration are available against a promotion on the Notifications tab:
|When a promotion is changed, after it has been published||Any changes made to the promotion after it has been published will result in a notification email being sent to watchers.|
|When the total discount applied by the promotion to any one basket exceeds a threshold percentage or fixed value||If the discount applied to any basket exceeds the specified percentage or value, a notification email will be sent to watchers.
NOTE: settings are available to control the maximum number of times that notifications will be reported within a period. The settings are provided to ensure that recipients do not receive large numbers of emails where the promotion configuration causes the notification threshold to be exceeded frequently by processed baskets.
|When the total discount applied by the promotion to all baskets exceeds a threshold fixed value||If the discount applied by the promotion across all confirmed basket exceeds the specified value, a notification email will be sent to watchers.
NOTE: this notification will only be sent once.
Promotion Notification Settings
|Add current user as Promotion Watcher for new promotions||Use this setting with a value of true to indicate that when a promotion is created the current user should automatically be added as a watcher of the promotion.|
|Notify on Published Promotion Change (default)||Use this setting with a value of true to indicate that when a promotion is published the Notify Promotion Watchers when this promotion is changed? promotion notification configuration should be automatically ticked.|
|New Line Level Promotion Default Basket Discount Warning||Use this setting with either a value of Default to percentage or Default to value to default the relevant option automatically when creating a line level discount promotion, using the value defined by the New Line Level Promotion Default Basket Discount Value setting.|
|Maximum basket discount notifications period||Specify the period within which the number of notification emails regarding any one promotion will be capped. Available values are: 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours.|
|Maximum basket discount notifications in period||Specify the number of times within the given period that a notification will be provided for a promotion where a basket exceeds the defined maximum percentage or value.|

To view the report, edit the required promotion and select Weekly Activity Report from the toolbar.
To include the report in the weekly email, edit the required promotion, select the Notifications tab, and tick the Send Weekly Reports when Published and Active? box. Emailed reports will be sent to Promotion Watchers, which can be configured in the same location.
